Concrete volume is found by multiplying length, width, and depth, then converting cubic feet into cubic yards. The calculator adds a waste allowance so the final estimate is closer to a practical order quantity.

Slab volume = length × width × thickness
Cubic yards = cubic feet ÷ 27
Order volume = base cubic yards × (1 + waste %)
